“It’s time for a frank discussion about grand juries” is an important and timely article written by Michelle Kazadi, CFLS, and The Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, that was published this week in the Daily Journal.
“California needs to have an urgent conversation about the grand jury and its use in cases where African Americans have been killed by police. District attorneys have discretion to send cases to the grand jury or to use the preliminary hearing. It’s time they exercised it.”
